Priscilla Scotlan was a leader in the field of career planning and placement, having served as president of the AAEE, University of San Francisco Trustee, and Director of the Career Center at the University of California at Berkeley. The Marshall Award honors an individual or an organization for exceptional contributions to AAEE, especially in the areas of governance and management of the association. The award is named for Charlie Marshall who is the Executive Director Emeritus of AAEE, having served in that capacity from 1986-1999. (The recipient is nominated by the BOD, the Executive Director, or by Charlie himself. The recipient is then approved by the current BOD.)

The Innovative Programs/Practices Award honors individuals for developing new programs or professional practices involving educator preparation, recruitment, and/or retention. The award’s objectives are to encourage innovative ideas and then to share them within the profession. (Nominees must be members of AAEE, and nominations must be submitted by the office which originated the program or practice. This award is presented to members for programs which are valuable and commendable within the profession of educational staffing.)
